This wine somehow always seems to capture everything I love about Zin, with deep, spicy berry flavors and mouth-filling richness, but with nothing overdone: no pruney over-ripeness and plenty of fruit and power to suppress any alcoholic heat. Full but elegant and harmonious structure overall. Admirable depth and density without a shred of heaviness. I'm glad I stocked up on the 2009 vintage.
