Beautifully pure-feeling Chardonnay from a legendary vineyard. Subtle in its attack yet totally satisfying. Ethereal aromas and flavors of citrus peel, banana, nutmeg-like spice, and baking pastry (but do not serve this wine too cold, or these nuances will be muted). Overall feel of precision and transparency. Seamless structure, lingering finish with mouth-watering saline minerality. It is stunningly fresh and unmarked by age for a seven year old California Chardonnay. - HK 2020-04-04
