Remarkably opaque deep purple color, with a big, deep, chewy, virile feel to it. Expansive nose of earth, mint, dark currants, and chocolate is followed by flavors to match. Has matured brilliantly from a firm and tannic wine into a wine which, in 2011, is at its peak of ripe, round drinkability.
