Like the outstanding 2013, the 2014 Red Rooster is super-easy going down. Delicious Zin flavors with excellent intensity and grip, yet having none of the port- or liqueur-like concentration, and none of the raisiny qualities, that a lot of Zins would display at this alcohol level. Actually fairly sleek feeling to the texture. Shows a delightful range of bright, spicy berry flavors. Very well balanced with nothing out of whack or overdone. Extremely fairly priced for the quality. - HK 2018-06-19
