No extra fat here, nicely concentrated and focussed. Fairly alcoholic but with no objectionable heat or imbalance. Deep cherry fruit with notes of pine forest, plum, and sweet Asian spice. | [ 2015-05-27] Certainly fully mature at this point, no longer tight and constrained. Struck me like a classic Pinot wrapped in slightly funky overtones. Some pine resin, earthy/vegetal notes on top of the raspberry, vanilla, floral components in the aromas. Flavors, though, were excellent, and the texture rich, mouth-coating, and finely balanced.
