| 2000 Yosemite Road Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Modesto, California WB Rating: 81 Alcohol by volume: 12.5% Price at time of purchase: $2.99 (Trader Joe's) Type: Cabernet / Bordeaux Principal varietal(s): 100% Cab Who would have thought: an OK Cab for $2.99! I usually look for wines in the $5.99 to $9.99 range when roving the shelves at Trader Joe's for outrageous bargins, but the wife picked this one up. I put off opening it for a couple of months, in favor of more "promising" candidates, not expecting anything but a sour, tasteless, throat-wrenching experience.
